Quarantine Snack Carts & Video

Times have changed. We are self-isolating, working from home, and perhaps eating more snacks than usual. I know this is a very difficult time and that everyone is experiencing different degrees of stress and anxiety, so that makes it so much more important to remain in a healthy state of mind in order to cope. One way I have been getting through the weeks at home is by creating these snack carts.
Between working on assignments and other projects, stopping for a break to eat is a must. If you are going to prepare yourself some food while home, may as well prepare it with love. A snack cart is a great way to lift your spirits.
Something cool I once heard was that when your food looks beautiful, it actually has a higher vibration. So serving your family, or even yourself, food that is aesthetically pleasing will raise your energy and make you feel better.
You really don't need to overdo it when it comes to the ingredients you decide to use. Anything you have on hand will work. In my case, I had a huge bag of carrots in the fridge, so that is the reason you will see those orange sticks in every one of the photos. (I am surprised I haven't turned orange yet, like that episode of The Magic School Bus.)
Other items you may want to add: apples, pears, orange slices, nuts, seeds, cheese, crackers, hummus, celery, strawberries, dates, radishes, pita bread, cookies, chips, cucumbers, chocolate...the list can go on. Just be sure you make it a balanced selection of both nutritious and delicious choices.
After you gather all your ingredients, all you need then is a plate, container or board to arrange the food on and you are ready to watch all 7 seasons of Boy Meets World.
I want to share some photos of the many snack carts we have created over the last few weeks. (We don't eat these everyday, even though I totally wish I could!)
The reason I've called them snack carts is because of my sister. Back at her office, they would have an actual cart full of snacks in which everyone would contribute to and share during the day. She started calling our tray a snack cart and it just stuck.
In times like this, it can be the little things that can bring a smile to your face - hearing good news about pet adoption rates skyrocketing, seeing how people have put positive messages in their windows, and all the online businesses doing their best to serve their cliental by offering classes and resources to keep the world spinning.
I hope that in all of the chaos, you find a bit of peace and solitude, and may you all stay safe and healthy.
